Growth Hormone-releasing peptide-2, more commonly referred to as GHRP-2, is one off the many peptides that act on the hypothalamus and the anterior pituitary to cause the release of human growth hormone. GHRP-2 has been researched for over 20 years and has been shown in multiple animal and laboratory studies to have very similar action on the anterior pituitary as GHRH or growth hormone-releasing hormone. It is not identical or even close to the structure of naturally occurring GHRH but it may be more effective.

Early Studies

In studies dating back to February of 1996 and published in the Journal of Endocrinology, researchers discovered that in vitro in both sheep and rat pituitary cells the presence of GHRP-2 led to an increase in growth hormone (GH) secretion. The amount of the increase of GH was directly related to the dosage amount of GHRP-2, up to a maximum dosage amount. There was a slight difference between the results in the two species, which led researches to hypothesize that different receptor subtypes in the animals were more or less able to use the GHRP-2 in the study.

Swine Studies

GHRP-2 has also been studied in swine in the laboratory showed similar results that the GH production was related to the dosage amount that was provided by intravenous injection. The peak GH concentrations were noted to occur at 180 minutes after injections and were significantly higher than the GH levels in pigs of similar weight and breed that were injected with a saline solution.

In the same study, which was carried out for 30 days, the pigs that received the GHRP-2 had an increased daily gain and better feed efficiency while actually not increasing their overall feed intake. The researchers were able to clearly slow that the use of GHRP-2 increased growth through the increased production of GH in the test animals.

In test results it was discovered that the use of GHRP-2 actually boosts or works synergistically with the naturally occurring GHRH in the body of the test animal. The result is a measurable increase in the levels of growth hormone and the resulting increase in muscle mass and lean body tissue. We have GHRP-2 available for sale to customers anywhere in the world.
